DM-CE1; Contact Angle Meter (without laptop computer)
Compact but high performance contact angle meter. The DM-CE1 measures contact angles automatically using highly precise algorithms.
The DM-CE1 will provide very good results (for example) for evaluating a solid substrate and the coating efficiency of a coating process via Contact Angle Analysis. The DM-CE1 can also evaluate the surface tension of the coating liquid via the PENDANT DROP method (see description and brochure).
The DM-CE1 utilizes software called FAMAS. The FAMAS software is installed on a desktop or laptop PC. The FAMAS software includes add-in software for surface free energy analysis, pendant drop, and extension & contraction "dynamic contact angle" method - all are included as standard. There are optional kits available for Surface energy and Pendant drop that are sold separately (see description and brochure).
-Fast image capture, 60FPS; continuous measurement capability is achieved at 60FPS.
-Automatic Recognition of Drop Deposition; Transferring a droplet from the needle to a solid surface is recognized automatically. The operator can measure results with high reproducibility of time scale for every droplet.
-Live Image & Focusing Aid, a live image monitor is displayed where focusing aids help operator focus image using graph and numerical values.
-Threshold Level Adjustment; Both relative and absolute adjustments are possible helping to better optimize image analysis.
-Variable Data Presentation; Contact Angle, Drop Volume, Absorbing Amount, Ratio of droplet remained volume, Droplet Height and width
-Movie Converter; Measured images over time function can be converted to MPEG-1 movie format.
