Have us check out your instrument once a year

It's a good practice to have your instrument looked at once per year. We can run diagnostics and perform water tests to ensure the instrument is operating correctly. We can also provide a PM sticker for the instrument with the next service date.

• We perform the annual PM service and place a sticker on the instrument.
• We ship the instrument back to you.

Coulometric Karl Fischer Reagents

Whether you're running a single or a dual reagent setup, we can help.  Different samples work better with different reagent configurations. We have multiple solutions you can try.  Sometimes, running a single reagent setup gets the job done. Other times, you need that second reagent to get the reaction you need.  

Here are some reagents to consider:

• Coulomat AG: This anolyte is designed to work with both one-component (single reagent) and two-component (dual reagent) setups. This anolyte is free of carbon tetrachloride and chloroform.
• Coulomat AG-H: This anolyte is designed to work with both one-component (single reagent) and two-component (dual reagent) setups. Effective for very polar samples (long-chained hydrocarbons). Free of carbon tetrachloride and chloroform.
• Coulomat Oil: This anolyte is specifically designed for the determination of H₂O in oils. Based on methanol with addition of aromatic and halogenated hydrocarbons to aid solubility.
• Coulomat A: This anolyte is designed to work with a standard two component coulometry (dual reagent). Contains methanol and chloroform as the solvents.
• Coulomat CG: This catholyte is designed to work with two-component (dual reagent) setup configurations (Coulomat A,AG,AG-H). Each box contains 10X5mL Ampules. This catholyte contains protected ammonium salts as the reactive component and methanol.

Check your results by running water standards!

Water standards are great for verifying that your instrument is operating correctly. We suggest either the 100PPM standard or the 1,000PPM standard.  Both are ideal for running a quick check. We recommend pulling the 4mL of water standard into a syringe and injecting 4 x 1mL samples for a total of 4 tests. You should see repeatable results within an acceptable error range.

Depending on timing, we typically have some Karl Fischer tirators available as loaners. Just give us a call and let us know ahead of time and we can arrange it so you can receive a loaner while your intstrument is down for repair or calibration.

Remember:

• Contact us ahead of time to reserve a titrator.
• We will provide a loaner coulometric Karl Fischer Titrator.
• When we finish repair or PM service we can swap instruments.
